A leading North Carolina based healthcare service provider deployed SugarCRM to streamline its business process and enhance productivity

The Client:
Kare Partners is an umbrella group that focuses on Therapeutic rehabilitation and other ancillary services in the healthcare sector. Kare Partners has operations in 20 states in the US primarily focused in the south east and the south west US. It works with several partners in the inpatient, outpatient and home health settings to provide the best care to its clients.

The Challenges:
Since the software developed caters to the health care industry, security of the personal data stored inside is the most critical aspect of the SugarCRM system. The project involved extensive customization of SugarCRM to meet the needs of business process of Kare Partners, including:

• Design a Hierarchical security structure that emulates the real life organizational structure. So that, every authorized user is able to see the records of all the users that are in down line of his hierarchy.
• Create self service management portal where the potential recruiters can login and update their profiles. Plus, they can also track the status of their applications using the portal.
• Create a structure for extensive use of dashboard and reports to give the management an overview of the business at any given point of time.
• Allow Replacement of SugarCRM documents module with an Alfresco plugin so that all the documents get stored into Alfresco.

The Solution:
The project involved collaboration with teams located in various geographies like Philippines, the US and India in multiple time zones. Several new modules, extensive customization and various APIs were created for a successful delivery of the project. Apart from developing the desired features to help the client easily share critical information and support existing and new business processes, we also did SugarCRM integration with Joomla CMS.

Agile project methodology was used to inclemently deploy and test functionalities on beta site and then transferred to the live site. Cross Technology domain experts on SugarCRM, Alfresco, MySQL and PHP were deployed in various phases of the project to get the best possible system in place.

The Results:
The customized SugarCRM has evolved as a collaboration platform between Kare Partners and its customers. Moreover, the deployment of the software has not only increased the productivity but has also saved millions of dollars that were otherwise spent when the same business processes were carried out without the software.
