Developed Insurance Specific SugarCRM for Texas Based Insurance Provider

The client is the leading provider of high quality Insurance Products to Texas residents. They were using Insurance specific CRM system and wanted to Shift to SugarCRM. The requirement was to establish their core processes of creating Policies in the system, and the ability to link a policy to an account (in case of corporate insurance purchase), or with a specific lead/Opportunity.

Complex and real time business analytics were required to track policies & payments by type, insurance company, office, employee and customer. Work involved migration of their existing thousands of records, enhance performance of SugarCRM under a challenging time-line and budget.

The project began by training Insurance Plus on SugarCRM capabilities and building a gap document. After the signoff, the project blueprint was prepared. The project methodology was completely agile with prototyping keeping in mind flexibility required to execute the project. Using Open Source and Web 2.0 technologies, new modules were built using SugarCRM framework, PHP & MySQL. Existing modules were customized to reduce coding as far as possible. Assembla with SVN was used for project management and version management.

Thanks to close collaborations, OSSCube and Insurance Plus launched the project in 5 weeks.
